Workshops with Alejandra Heredia & Mariano Otero

Workshop 1 for tangueros who have already worked with Mariano Otero and have knowledge of his ideas and suggestions for movement sequences in tango.
- Topic: important, fundamental points of connection in dance, e.g. in dissociation, the role of the hands...
- Learning how the body recognises and masters organic, flowing and effective movement.
- This workshop comprises 1½ hours of instruction over 3 days.
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting at 12:00 noon. End 13:30
- Location: Beginenhof. Kesselstrasse 20 in Kalkar - approx. 250 metres from the town hall
- The workshop is limited to a maximum of 11 couples

Workshop 2 for tangueros who have either worked little or never before with Mariano and Alejandra.
- Topic: Biomechanics of the body - its natural movement. Projection and thrust in walking.
- The workshop comprises 1½ hours of lessons over 3 days.
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting at 14:00. End 15:30
- Location: Beginenhof. Kesselstrasse 20 in Kalkar - approx. 250 metres from the town hall
- The workshop is limited to a maximum of 11 couples

Workshop 3 open to all tangueros and suitable for all tangueros
- Topic: Introduction to the biomechanics of walking in tango
- Sunday, start 16:45 - 18:15
- Location: In the hall of Burg Boetzelaer
- The workshop is limited to a maximum of 14 couples
- Topic: Introduction to the biomechanics of walking in tango
On Friday and Saturday we offer interested parties time and space for 2 individual lessons each from 16:00 - 18:00.
Participation fees
- 3 days Tango Royal with 29 hours of milongas: per person 95 €
- Included are: Fruit and something to nibble on during the milongas, water.
- The fee will be refunded if we receive your cancellation by 01.11.2025 at the latest.
- During the three days the bar with alcoholic and other drinks will be open in the foyer of the ballroom.
- The entrance fee for the Farewell Milonga at Burg Boetzelaer is €10/person.

Gastronomy in Kalkar
We have agreed with almost all the restaurants in the city that they will offer menus for Tango Royal every day. We tried them all and really, we recommend them! When booking a table, mention the keyword TANGO ROYAL! As it's Christmas time, we recommend that you book a table by email well in advance! The participating restaurants and their menus will be online by the beginning of October at the latest.
The Bröd'je bakery on the market square has reserved the old, beautifully renovated bakery for us on Saturday and Sunday: A breakfast and meeting place for us all. The bakery Reffeling - "Café van Calcar", Markt 26, invites you to breakfast, coffee and cake from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (every day, including Sundays) The Beginenhof offers a cosy place to sit, meet and eat the food you have brought with you.
Paloma Chamray will offer shoes and clothing for sale at the Beginenhof.
